The Vancouver Avenue cooperative housing project is currently in-progress at Lockwood Carhart and is an effort to be part of the solution to the housing crisis in Portland by helping to create an affordable alternative to conventional apartments.   Offering not only affordability, but an opportunity to live a simpler and more connected, social lifestyle.

The building has been designed with 21 private sleeping rooms with shared common spaces including kitchen, dining, living room, as well as bathroom and laundry facilities.  Several outdoor spaces – both shared and private – have been incorporated into the design with special attention to views and sunlight.
