This 3 story office building within the United States Embassy compound in Bankok, Thailand has a total floor area of 44,000 square feet and was designed as a passively cooled office pavillion located on the edge of a man-made lake. Cross-ventilation on each floor is achieved by the prevailing winds carried accross the lake and directed through the building. Extensive fixed shading features have been incorporated into the facade to help mitigate its direct sun exposure while maintaining views toward the lake and beyond.

John was the lead designer on this particular piece of the overall compound and directed the work of team members and consultants.
