Sunset Ridge Remodel

Located within an existing 1948 ranch-style house in Portland’s West Hills, this modern kitchen design was commissioned by a couple who were looking for a timeless architectural design that blended well with the house but also pointed toward a more refined aesthetic to which they aspired.  To give simplicity and clarity to the design, we developed a material palette that includes natural fir, Carrara marble, and white painted cabinetry.

There is a precision to the detailing that has been expressed by alignments and the intersection of materials.  Although most of the shelving is open, there is closed storage space in the white cabinets above the range and within a concealed cabinet on the right side of the custom refrigerator enclosure.
