Row River Fire Station

Dorena, Oregon

This rural district fire station is located just a few miles southeast of Cottage Grove, Oregon on the bank of the Row River.
The new building design consists of two basic parts:  a large apparatus bay which will be constructed using a “pre-engineered steel building” system and will accommodate four fire-response vehicles.   Connected to the apparatus bay will be a single story structure designed to accommodate other functional needs such as offices, quarters, and recreation spaces.
The building will be finished in a ribbed metal panel cladding with red accents to signal the fire response typology.  Natural stained cedar siding will be used at the entry to provide a welcoming ambiance.
