Irvington Artist’s Studio
Portland, Oregon
This modest 339 square foot artist’s studio addition was designed as a multi-purpose space that could be utilized in many different ways. The large double doors at the south end will flood the space with natural light and create a strong visual connection to the exterior patio and surrounding landscape. The dormer and skylights will maintain the natural light and views from
the existing kitchen. The addition also creates a convenient indoor pathway to the basement, which did not exist beforehand.
It has been our goal for the addition to fit well with the historic main house in terms of both form, materials and detailing.
