George Fox University
Digital Media Center
Newberg, Oregon
Located on the western edge of the George Fox University campus, the proposed Digital Media Center has been designed to fit nicely within the residential-scaled block surrounded by single family homes. The building will be approximately 6,500 square feet and include three production studios, a gear storage room, a green room and support spaces. The main entry space is the heart of the building and will be used as an open office area – filled with natural light and featuring a 20 foot ceiling height.
The exterior massing has been articulated carefully to blend well with the adjacent single-family homes, all of which are just one or two stories in height. A generous landscaped setback with grass, trees and native shrubs will further unite the building with its neighbors. Design work provided for SDRA, Portland.
