Modern 23, New York, NY
The apartments feature open, flexible layouts with floor-to-ceiling windows and juliet balconies. Dark grey brick frames the entire facade and helps the building relate to its context of historic masonry buildings. Even with its strong contemporary architectural character, Modern 23 fits comfortably within a streetscape of traditional pre-war architecture.
While employed with Daniel Goldner Architects in Manhattan, John served the dual role of Senior Designer and Project Architect, conceiving the overall aesthetic concept and planning the building’s spatial layout and circulation core. John produced the majority of all drawings that were necessary for each phase of the project and worked in concert with junior staff members and firm management.
